Mafikeng Road Camping Site

  • This is the newest camping site in the area. It is right in the middle of town.

  • Ideally placed for hikers. It is within walking distance of everything in town.

  • Tents only.

  • No electricity!

Marico Bushveld Dam Caravan Park Also known as the Riekertsdam, is about 14 km to the north of Groot-Marico.

Salileni Caravan Park

  • Situated on the banks of the Groot- Marico river.

  • 6 km south of Groot-Marico.

  • Caravan stands are available under shady bosveld trees.
  • Ablution facilities available.
  • Showers available
  • Electricity

  • Fishing

Swartruggens:

Shalom Camping for Groups

  • Accommodate groups up to 60 .

  • On a farm a few km north of Swartruggens.

  • Self catering , or catering can be done at very reasonable prices.

  • Fully equipped kitchen .

  • Bring own bedding.

  • Swimming dam.

  • Bird and tree outings can be arranged as well as star gazing with a knowledgeable guide.

  • Prize is R50 per person per night.

Swartruggens Dam Caravan Park is situated just outside Swartruggens (on the Ventersdorp road). 

It overlooks part of the Elandsriver Anglo Boer War Battlefield.

Klein Marico Poort Conference Centre & Environmental Education Centre  

This campingsite is located approximately 6 km outside Zeerust and is at present the best developed site of the four.
