Groot-Marico is well known for its beautiful Bushveld surroundings. We have got a lot of hiking trails available, some on game-farms.

Klein Marico Poort is located approximately 6 km outside Zeerust.
Sterkstroom Hiking Trail -

The farm Sterkstroom is almost halfway between Groot-Marico and Swartruggens, close to the Twyfelspoort Dam. It is a beautiful area with mountains and valleys. The hiking trail is approximately 10 km in length, and can easily be walked in a days time. Not many of the Marico residents have seen the waterfall, due to the fact that there are no roads in the immediate vicinity. It can only be reached on foot. Overnight accommodation can be arranged if so preferred at the Ye Olde Farmhouse which is on the same farm..
